My son has high functioning autism. He is hyper focused on tires. Since he was a baby, he would pull off the tires from his toys and just play with the tires. He only recognizes my car by the tire tread. He will get in the wrong car (different make and model) if the tread is the same. 2 out of the 5 birthdays he has had have been tire themed. He lives and breaths tires. When the guys at master mechanic caught wind of this, they were so gracious with my son. We had to get new tires and they let my son be a part of the process. This not only helped my son deal with losing some tire friends and hanging them replaced with some new ones, but gave him a day he will never forget. My son is convinced that Joey (our mechanic) is his new best friend and is invited to his birthday party (still many months away and probably tire themed again). I love master mechanic. They are not only great at what they do, but they care for us as friends.
