Master Mechanic began in 1972 and started as an automotive vinyl repair company. Shortly after, windshield repair was added to it’s services. The business at this time was called Anderson Windshield and Vinyl Repair. In 1986, the company moved to a location at 655 North Main in Logan, Utah.

In 1992, the company expanded to include full automotive repair to it’s list of services. The two businesses were run as separate companies, the original Anderson Windshield and Master Mechanic, where both businesses continued to flourish every year. At this time, both companies were run side by side at 655 North Main and 657 North Main in Logan. The mechanical repair side of the business grew at a much quicker rate than the windshield repair and replacement side of the company. The company realized that more room was needed to accommodate the growth of the mechanical side of business.

The currently operating building at 142 North Gateway Drive, Providence, Utah was built in 2002. Operating under the name of Master Mechanic & Auto Glass at the new facility until 2008. In 2008, as the mechanical side of the company continued to grow, the profitability of the windshield replacement side of the business decreased. During this time, the North West Tire Factory company approached us. They showed us how being part of their larger group could help us make more money selling tires than with the windshield side of the company. Tire sales were added to our products and service line up and reduced emphasis on windshield replacement. Mechanical and tire sales have continued to grow.

For the last 28 years, we have continued to build a strong profitable company based on our original business reputation established 42 years ago.
